Biography
I was first introduced to Middle Eastern dance while living in the emerald city - Seattle, Washington. Where I quickly fell in love with Oriental dance (aka belly dance), as well as the exotic melodies and rhythms of Arabic music. Since that time, I have devoted my life to studying and performing this exotic and beautiful dance art form, as well as its many related folkloric and regional dances.

I have performed in numerous nightclubs, restaurants, theaters, cultural festivals, and dance events across the United States, as well as for organizations like the YMCA and for corporations like Microsoft.
A perpetual student, I have received countless hours of instruction from top national and international master performers and instructors and I continue to study to enhance my own dance and teaching skills.
I have taught Belly Dance and Belly Dance Fitness classes at Curves and YMCA, as well as local dance and yoga studios. I am also a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Certified Nutrition Specialist.
I am owner of BodyRaQ Dance & Fitness and producer of a bi-monthly belly dance show called Anna's "Hayati Show & Hafla"
